Almost time for the wrap-up… but wait!

“…They shall not grow old, as we who remain grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn…”

Today is ANZAC day. It may seem strange at first that people celebrate the landing of armed forces into a war of very little concern to Australia. However, they had a very unusual personality which has become associated with the country, and a lot of them still died painfully at war, so lest we forget.

The April holidays and, indeed, April itself, are almost drawing to a close, and it feels like only yesterday when we were all thrust into the wonderful, wonderful world of freedom. Naturally, I’ve been procrastinating this whole time. No point denying it, that’s exactly what I’m doing. In fact, I’ve just finished describing the wonderful topic of “computer and non-computer tools for organising and analysing various data types” – something that was supposed to be done around a week ago.

On the 26th, it is the birthday of Matt and Suvi. You two people probably don’t know each other, but congratulations, you have the same birthday, and are about to become a year older. Also coming up is Bella’s birthday on the 28th.

And finally, here are two pictures for a very special friend. You know who you are, and these are for you:

Exhibit A. Now you know the originals of Murphey the Rodent.. as a plastic keyring ornament. Through the good times and the bad, the original Murphey will always have the equally awesome slice of cheese.

Exhibit B. I made these sausages for dinner tonight. They’re saturated with oil, thus the paper towel underneath. However, they did not explode, although they would probably combust quite easily. Now it’s the super cucumber’s turn. Do you have a cape? =D

  1. Judging by the publicity, the ANZACs are pretty awesome people. But WE are pretty awesome people too. Thus, on ANZAC day, we should be honouring ourselves too! We should be holding parades for ourselves, going around wearing little medals, gathering round for an old chat, and accepting free food from McDonalds.
Similarly, I wish I could honour my April holidays. But now, I want to hold a funeral for them. Because I’ve been procrastinating the whole time too. Well, GardenDev = procrastinating, because it is a complete waste of time. It’s an assignment where you PRETEND you’re going to develop your garden and spend ages trying to think of something that will never happen and that nobody cares about.
Oh, and wow…you cook? To be honest, I have never prepared food before, except for baking/boiling/BBQing stuff straight from the packet.
